Froggy

Froggy first discovered penspinning back in September 2009, after deciding on quitting in gaming (due to Aussie internet being so crappy) and seeking for a new hobby, and being introduced to penspinning through Kam’s pentrix video found on a random forum. He initially wanted to be good at penspinning after watching other JEB videos (mostly JEB2nd and JEB3rd), but after discovering the other part of penspinning, pen modification, he soon realized its where he should continue pursuing his hobby.


Instead of trying to invent many new mods to the community, Froggy decided to reinvent many existing mods, to further making the mods better for both spinning and easier accessible, which has lead to Froggy’s first published tutorial “Any-X Custom”.

and this is the mod that got me recognized in the modding scene (mostly, cuz its part of a modrod tournament hosted in UPSB and i won 2 categories with this and another mod

To maintain his modding spree, Froggy utilized the trading sub-forum to be able to keep modding. He also soon realized that presentation is vital to the trading process, and have developed skills in both presenting and photo taking of the mods itself. This has lead to his “simple but perfection” modding style, where he makes simple and well-known mods, but with attention to minor details (from straight grip/barrel cuts to handling grips). Nowadays, Froggy is one of the most reputable trader on UPSB.


Soon after UPSB v4 when both the trading sub-forum and pen modification sub-forum lacked sufficient moderation, Froggy was introduced to become one of the moderators to maintain both sub-forums, and assist others when needed in both trading and general pen modification enquiries. He now mainly focuses on the Pens and Modifications part of the forum, occasionally solving reports for other sub-forums as well.
